Thanks Keith. That’s an interesting point. I didn’t respond directly to that first point because I didn’t think it was targeted at me, or sophisticated conversational commerce proponents. Of course we get it — but not everyone does.
As a VC, I can imagine connie chan sees a lot of nonsense and hubris — and a lot of folks hawking bots that they label as “conversational commerce”, but that are still restricted to the affordances of text messaging. I took her tweet at targeting those folks.
I could be wrong though; I haven’t spoken with her directly (but would welcome the chance). I just wanted to make clear how I think about conversational interfaces, and text UIs are just the beginning of the story.
