The problem then is the marketing: how do you get ideas into consumer’s minds without teasing them somehow first? Kickstarter and IndieGogo are useful models, and Amazon’s inclusion of the former is promising, but the vast majority of today’s consumers have probably never been exposed to the Kickstarter marketplace… so without mass production and/or mass marketing, how do you deliver these ideas-before-manufacture to people who may want the product but are unaware of it?
